Posted: September 29, 2010 in LGBT COMIC - Black Lesbian Comic

The TAO Diaries is the first Black lesbian comic book centered around a Black lesbian character. The comic book series was created by artist, activist, filmmaker and author C.D. Kirven (facebook.com/chastitykirven).

The TAO Diaries is centered around the character TAO (Pronounced TA – “O” is silent).  She is the last of the Taoist immortals which are descendants of the Senin. Her father was Chinese and owned a billion dollar shoe company in the United Kingdom.  Her mother was an Afro-American dancer from Brazil. TAO’s parents were killed in a plane crash and she was raised by Monks. She was trained in Taoism and in the art of Capoeira.

Her evil counterpart is Corporeal (King of the living dead).  Corporeal wants world domination and uses his evil spirit army to inhabit human beings in order to commit his evil bidding. Once a spirit inhabits a human and commits several evil acts they become one of the living dead under complete control of Corporeal. Corporeal and his evil subject, Mink, murdered the love of TAO’s life Bliss.

TAO’s mission is to stop Corporeal and to get revenge for the death of her lover – Bliss.  Please come to Austin’s Comic-Con on Nov. 12 -14, 2010 to support the creator of the TAO Diaries – C.D. Kirven.  To keep up with her LGBT activis, please visit www.getequalnow.org.
